Working with the stack holders, Walsall Council together the School and its Governor’s to provide a scheme of alteration and extension works for the School to allow the school to both improve its facilities as well as providing further accommodation for its expansion of the school pupil numbers to allow it to become a three form entry. All works which where strategically managed on this challenging part registered and licence wildlife site to allow the School to continue in operation whilst works were completed. The works resulted in the provision of a two storey curved extension on its original car park frontage with full height glazing, the form of which was designed to match and reflect the form of the original curved school building:

The main school was then provided with :

  • A new and larger main entrance
  • Expanded and improved flexible dining provision
  • Much needed breakout, intervention areas to assist teaching
  • A whole school library accommodation
  • Refurbishment of a couple of existing classrooms as par of the phased development was progressed
  • A new dedicated food Technology area within the new build
  • A new two storey classroom block for Years 5 and 6 with breakout spaces and the use of teacher wall accommodation
  • Expansion of the Nursery
  • Out of hours accommodation

The school advised us that they were really pleased with the final result and advised that both the staff and pupils were enjoying working in their new and improved environment. Also advising that their new look also greatly assisted them in recruiting new staff.
