The project involved the conversion of the existing Victorian dining hall and adjoining areas, with the introduction of a mezzanine level, two new galleries and a tilted glass roof over the north courtyard.
The new Learning Resource Centre incorporates shelving for almost 30,000 books, teaching/seminar accommodation, a dedicated periodicals room, and an exhibition and archive area as well as a variety of study spaces with ICT and audio visual facilities.
