A major
investment and redevelopment of Cardiac
Services is currently under consideration by
Birmingham Children’s Hospital
Options
are proposed to provide temporary modular
day theatre facilities in order that
development of a modern paediatric bi-plane
Cardiac Catheter Lab (hybrid Lab), Angio
suite and laparoscopic theatre can be
provided.
The
proposals also incorporate relocating and
upgrading the paediatric decision unit,
extension of the existing paediatric
Intensive Care unit and provision of
additional cardiac ward spaces.
